Detour

On our way home from Chicago we stopped in Rock Falls for a late lunch. Amelia got to enjoy her first french fry here:

After that we were back on the road and Andrew suggested we make a small detour and see our friends who used to live in Ames but now reside in Cedar Rapids. It was so wonderful to see Paul, Melany & Owen and Justin, Lisa & Emmy.

Emmy was cool enough to share some of her toys with Amelia while we were there. Emmy cheered Amelia on even though Amelia tried to run her over twice with this cool walking toy:
