Yesterday I took Amelia to the doctor for her 6 month check up and it went very well. The paper on the table could have amused her for hours, but they interrupted that fun with the actual appointment. Don’t worry, she found Dr. Halbur’s watch equally entertaining. She weighs 15 lbs, 3 ounces; is 25 ½ inches long and developing beautifully. She impressed the entire office with her joyful disposition on the way in and out. Amelia ended up needing 2 booster shots and then I opted to have them give her the flu shot also since they had seen kids in the office for it within the last week. She literally cried for maybe 10 seconds, a welcomed surprise. Last night even went better than some of our normal nights. She fussed a bit but mostly slept from about 7:30 until 8:00 this morning, with a late night snack and Tylenol in between. Lately Amelia has had a little cold, but she is on the mend and the Dr. told us we didn’t need to be concerned. We’re scheduled for her 9 month Well Child Check in June. PS - I clicked on the pics b/c Strummer is sitting w/me and he stopped fussing and became interested in the screen! :P
